Privacy policy (GDPR)

Who is responsible

What we collect and why
- Purchases. Payments are handled by Stripe. With Stripe Managed Payments, Stripe is the seller of record and processes your payment and billing details under its own privacy policy. We receive your email address, what you bought and a payment reference, and we store your license serial numbers so we can deliver and restore your licenses (legal basis: performance of the contract, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). We keep these records for as long as accounting law requires.
- Contact form and email. Your name, email address and message, used only to answer you (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). We delete messages after 12 months.
- Website hosting. The site and the license server run on Cloudflare, which processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the service (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- License emails. If we email your serial numbers, we use an email delivery service as our processor.
The apps
The apps work on your computer and do not send us usage data. They contact our license server only when you buy or unlock a license. Some features use online services that you choose and connect with your own key — for example AI transcription, translation, subtitle search or social networks. The data you send there is handled by those services under their own terms.
Cookies and local storage
This website uses no tracking, analytics or advertising cookies. The only cookie is a login cookie for our own site administration. When you close the privacy notice, your browser remembers that in its local storage, so the notice isn't shown again; nothing is sent to us. You can clear it in your browser settings at any time.
Your rights
You can ask for access to, correction or deletion of your data, restrict or object to its processing, and ask for a copy (data portability). Write to info@codeboop.com. You can also complain to your data protection authority, Commissioner Reno Borg Represents Malta.
Transfers outside the EU
Stripe and Cloudflare may process data outside the EU/EEA; they use the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
